A letter before the proposal
For the Mirah Hospitality teamMumbai · October 2026
Dear Mirah Hospitality team,

Thank you for writing back. For a studio like ours, a note from Bayroute is not an ordinary email.

Bayroute is one of those rare restaurants that people in Mumbai plan an evening around. Nine destinations, a menu that travels from Beirut to Istanbul to Marrakech, Sufi nights, the Chocolate Kunafa, and now Pune. Your team has built that, and your Instagram already shows it with real care.

So we didn't want to send you a list of reel ideas. We spent the last few days on one question that every restaurant on Instagram runs into: how do you make someone feel a meal they can't taste through a screen?

What follows is our answer for the Bayroute Sunday Brunch. It's one campaign in four films. Each one answers a question a guest has before they book, and each one gives people a different reason to stop, watch and share.

We would be genuinely proud to make this with you. Read it whenever you have a quiet moment, and tell us honestly what excites you and what doesn't. We'll build from there.

With warmth and a lot of excitement,

Bayroute Sunday Brunch · Four-film content strategy

See it. Feel it.
Hear it. Overhear it.

Four films that make a Sunday at Bayroute something people want to experience, not just a brunch they've heard of.

The core thought

You can't taste a brunch through a screen.

A viewer can't taste the food, smell it, feel the room or hear the table. So we don't ask one reel to do everything. We make four films, each answering one question a guest has before they book.

1What do I get?The Table
2What does it feel like? The Feeling
3What does it sound like? The Sound
4What are people saying?Overheard

From "Bayroute has a Sunday brunch" to "Sunday at Bayroute is something I want to experience."

We won't promise that any single reel goes viral. Each film is built around a different reason to stop, watch and share, so the campaign earns reach four ways instead of hoping one format works.

The four films

One Sunday, told four ways

1

The Table

Conversion + information

"Your Sunday table, but make it Bayroute."

The film

It opens on an empty table. Then the Sunday builds: drinks arrive, plates land, details are revealed, hands enter the frame, and the table becomes abundant. Every key dish in the brunch gets its moment, so the viewer understands exactly what Sunday at Bayroute includes.

Treatment

Editorial food cinematography, closer to a fashion film than a restaurant reel. Macro detail, slow motion, premium light, overhead builds, textures of sauces, garnishes and glassware.

Why it works

It removes the question "what exactly do I get?". A table that fills up in front of you signals generosity and occasion, and lets the viewer picture their own group around it. The easier it is to imagine yourself there, the more you want to be there.

What Bayroute gets

  • A premium hero film for organic and paid
  • The offer understood in 20 seconds, even by first-timers
2

The Feeling

Desire + social proof

"We could tell you what Sunday at Bayroute feels like. We'd rather show you."

The film

People, not plates. Candid moments from a real brunch: the first bite, someone reaching across the table, a dish being shared, a drink being poured, friends laughing, a first-time reaction, the room at its fullest.

Treatment

Documentary-style handheld footage cut with cinematic food and room shots. No staged testimonials, no "the food is amazing!", no influencer performance.

Why it works

People decide what's worth doing by watching others do it. The brand never claims "you'll have a great time". The guests show it, and real enjoyment is contagious in a way a claim never is.

What Bayroute gets

  • The atmosphere sold, not just the food
  • FOMO without promotional language
  • A brand that feels alive
3

The Sound

Sensory curiosity + attention

Black screen. "You can't taste this through your screen." Beat. "So listen."

The film

Built entirely on real sound recorded at the brunch. No music, no voiceover.

A knife through the kebabThe grill's sizzleA crisp biteBread tearingSauce pouredIce turning in a glassA cocktail pouredCutlery on a plateThe room laughing

Why it works

When one sense is missing, the brain fills it in from the others. Food science backs this: in Oxford's well-known "sonic chip" study, the same crisps were rated crisper and fresher when their crunch was played louder. Sound makes food feel more real than another pretty shot.

What Bayroute gets

  • A pattern break in a feed full of music-led food reels
  • Rewatch and headphone value
  • A distinctive Bayroute sound
4

Overheard at Bayroute

Authenticity + curiosity

"We didn't ask them what they thought. We just listened."

The film

No faces. Cinematic food on screen; underneath, real conversation from the table. Not interviews, not scripts.

Dish arrives"Wait, what is this?"
Close-up"Try it with this."
Next dish"Okay, this one's actually really good."
Pour"I'm definitely having another one."
Table"No, this is my favourite." Laughter

Why no faces

It keeps attention on the food and the words, and it feels like eavesdropping on a real table. The viewer fills in the people and stays to find out which dish everyone is talking about.

A series, not a one-off

Overheard at Sunday Brunch, then at Dinner, at the Bar, on Date Night.
